Just 30 days, until the 2010 MotoGP World Championship begins, at Qatar's Losail Circuit, with Testing for Moto2 successfully completed at Jerez last weekend, when Toni Elias set the fastest overall time, ahead of Yonny Hernandez and Kenny Noyes. Colombian Hernandez, team Blusens-STX, has continually impressed throughout the pre-season testing, and must be a serious contender for the title, in the first Championship series for the new 600cc class. The single USA competitor in Moto2, Kenny Noyes, team Jack&Jones by Antonio Banderas, was only slightly slower than the leaders, giving Hernandez in particular a run for his money into second place. Meanwhile, Premier Class stars, Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo, with Fiat Yamaha, have been on a goodwill three-day visit to Indonesia, one of Yamaha's most important markets.
