50 year old travel author, Sam Manicom, had much to contend with during his marathon trip around the world, aboard a BMW R80 GS. Arrested several times, and shot at, he fractured 17 bones, caught Dengue fever, and slipped three discs, but the Avon Gripster tyres, which he used during over half of the 250,000 mile trek, never let him down!
