A provisional calendar for the 2012 FIM MotoGP World Championship has been released, with 18 races on the schedule, starting in Qatar on 15th April. The UK round, at Silverstone, is planned for 17th June, and the season should end on 11th November, at Valencia.
Meantime, some riders are up to the usual off-season activities. Spanish pilot Alvaro Bautista, for one, has made the trip to Zambia, to participate in the Riders for Health Experience last week, joining a group of people who are taking part in the adventure that will raise money to save lives on the African continent, by providing health care and medicines in remote areas. Amongst those making the epic cross country ride, will be none other than charity co-founder, Randy Mamola.
