This Sunday, 18th September, the 2011 MotoGP World Championship continues, with the 14th event of a scheduled 18, and the Gran Premio de Aragon, at the MotorLand Aragon.

Last year's race winner was Casey Stoner, then for Ducati Team, with Dani Pedrosa, Repsol Honda, second. A further result for Ducati Team, came from Nicky Hayden, in third place.

#46 rider, Valentino Rossi, may be somewhat down the field in the season's standings so far, in sixth position for Ducati Team to date, but the legendary Italian's fans are as passionate as ever, and turned out in force at the Misano race weekend, 3rd-4th September, in all shapes, sizes, and age groups !

Sunday 2nd October, is scheduled to see the next outing, with the Grand Prix of Japan, at Motegi circuit.

A number of riders had indicated that they would not travel to Japan for this event, due to the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami earlier this year, also concerns about radiation. A statement issued this week by Yamaha Factory Racing, confirmed the attendance of Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies, but no more has as yet been heard from Casey Stoner, for one.

This late in the season, and with Lorenzo hard on his heels in the Championship standings, Repsol Honda's Stoner can hardly afford to miss a race !
