The 2011 MotoGP World Championship action resumed last weekend, with the CARDION ab GRAND PRIX CESKE republiky, at the Automotodrom Brno.
Things looked promising for Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa, who made a flying start from his first Pole of the current season, but a crash, from the lead, on the third lap, took him out of the race, as team-mate Casey Stoner went to the front, and never looked back.
Race-winner Stoner, was joined on the podium by Andrea Dovizioso, giving Repsol Honda first and second places, whilst Marco Simoncelli, San Carlo Honda Gresini, achieved his first podium in the premier class, in third.
Stoner's victory at Brno increased his Championship points tally to 218. Jorge Lorenzo, with Yamaha Factory Racing, is second with 186, followed by Dovizioso on 163. Ducati Team's Valentino Rossi holds fourth, with 118 points.
Next time out, is Sunday 28th August, for event number 12, of 18 this year, and the RED BULL INDIANAPOLIS GRAND PRIX, in the USA.
