This Sunday, the 2011 MotoGP World Championship season continues with the tenth event in the series, and the RED BULL U.S GRAND PRIX, at the Mazda Raceway, USA.
Last week, event number nine was the eni MOTORRAD GRAND PRIX DEUTSCHLAND, on Sunday 17th July, at Sachsenring in Germany, when Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa snatched victory in just his second race after returning from injury. Setting a new lap record, and a new total race time record, Pedrosa was best placed amongst a dominant Repsol Honda squadron, whose riders came first, third, Stoner, and fourth, Dovizioso, with a lone Yamaha in second place, under Jorge Lorenzo.
The team's Casey Stoner leads the World Championship with 168 points, ahead of Yamaha Factory Racing's Lorenzo on 153. Andrea Dovizioso, Repsol Honda, has 132 points, whilst Ducati Team's Valentino Rossi is fourth, with 98."Time out" leaves Pedrosa in fifth place, and 94 points.
British "hopeful", Cal Crutchlow, Monster Yamaha Tech 3, is way down the standings, in fifteenth place, with a score of 34.
After this weekend, there's a break until Sunday 14th August, and the CARDION ab GRAND PRIX CESKE republiky, at the Automotodrom Brno.
