Bikes at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
There will be plenty of two-wheel action at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed, 30th June to 3rd July 2011
Featuring iconic BMW motorcycles, racers including Leon Haslam and John Surtees will tackle the demanding Goodwood Hillclimb, with Haslam aboard his 200+bhp BMW S1000R race bike. John Surtees (OBE) will be making the run on a supercharged 1939 Type 255 Kompressor race bike, which Surtees has painstakingly restored, since buying the machine in bits during the 1980's.
Also attacking the hillclimb will be Motorcycle News' senior road tester, Michael Neeves, riding his S1000RR MRO Superstock racer, prepared by BMW Park Lane.
BMW stunt star Mattie Griffin returns to the event for the second year, and will perform two shows a day on his specially prepared F800R
