The 500,000th Triumph motorcycle

Dunlop's Business News Service reports that comedian and motorcycle enthusiast, Ross Noble, has celebrated an important milestone in the history of Triumph by using a one-off uniquely liveried Speed Triple, the manufacturer's 500,000th bike, to perform a week-long "Sit Down Tour" at the end of last month.
Guided only by fans via Twitter, Noble carried out a marathon ride across the nation, including visits to brand new Triumph stores in Manchester and Reading; other "stops" shaped entirely by daily "tweets".
The half-millionth bike to roll off Triumph's production line since 1990, the machine used by Noble is destined to become a collector's item, having a unique red, white and blue paint scheme, created using a brand new production technique. It can be seen at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 1st, before being auctioned, with all the proceeds going to Riders for Health.
