Last weekend, and the third event in the 2011 MotoGP World Championship, with the bwin GRANDE PREMIO DE PORTUGAL, at Estoril, which saw Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa snatch victory from reigning World Champion, Jorge Lorenzo, Yamaha Factory Racing, towards the close of the race.

Lorenzo finished second, whilst Repsol Honda's domination of the race returned a third place for Casey Stoner, and fourth position for Andrea Dovizioso.

Valentino Rossi was fifth, for Ducati Team, and British contender, Cal Crutchlow, Monster Yamaha Tech3, came eighth.

For Pedrosa, the Estoril victory was his first win of the 2011 season, and in fact his first triumph at the Portuguese circuit in any class. He will start the next race in the 2011 competition just four points behind the current number one in the MotoGP standings, Jorge Lorenzo.

Next time out, 15th May and the MONSTER ENERGY GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE, at Le Mans.
