Several MotoGP riders, in all classes, will be taking advantage of the gap between the last event, in Jerez, and the forthcoming bwin GRANDE PREMIO DE PORTUGAL, on 1st May, at Estoril, to recover from injuries and various surgical interventions.
Meanwhile, there is a "New King of MotoGP", at least according to the subject of a photo-based book covering the career of reigning World Champion, Jorge Lorenzo !
Some 400 photos, many not previously seen by fans, recount the Spanish rider's career. "Jorge Lorenzo, El nuevo rey de MotoGP" is published by Libros Cupula (Planeta) and is now on sale in Spain, with UK and USA releases due shortly.
A new venue joins the World Championship location list, from 2013, when the Circuit of the Americas, in Austin, Texas, due to be completed in 2012, comes on stream, with a ten-year MotoGP deal, which will see the three categories of the World Championship play out in the home state of 1993 FIM MotoGP World Champion, Kevin Schwantz, also highly rated newcomer, Ben Spies.
