MotoGP
This weekend sees the second event on the 2011 MotoGP World Championship calendar, with the GRAN PREMIO bwin DE ESPANA, at Jerez in Spain.
Casey Stoner, Repsol Honda, leads the standings with 25 points, following his victory in Qatar, with reigning World Champion, Jorge Lorenzo, Yamaha Factory Racing, on 20. In third place is Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa, with 16 points.
Last year, Lorenzo won the Jerez race, followed by Pedrosa, with Valentino Rossi third.
Both Pedrosa and Rossi have on-going injury issues, and the race is on, in the Ducati team garage, to address Rossi's and Hayden's concerns with regard to handling and set-up, to hopefully deliver competitive machines for the coming weekend, and onwards.
Looking ahead, next time out will be 1st May, at Estoril, for the bwin GRANDE PREMIO DE PORTUGAL.
