2011 sees Bridgestone upping its game in the national racing world with the arrival of the R10 Supersport road legal racing tyre. And, to promote the product, Bridgestone UK has teamed up with IN Competition (Ian Newton) and Thundersport GB to supply the R10 to the new RRV450 one-make series. This series is designed to provide the next level of racing for those riders competing in the world renowned Superteen Challenge, which was the racing-nursery for the likes of Casey Stoner, Cal Crutchlow, Tommy Hill and Bradley Smith.
All competitors in the RRV450 series will be running the new R10 and pre-season testing starts this weekend at the Almeria circuit in Spain.
The provisional Thundersport GB 2011 calendar includes twelve events, commencing at Mallory Park 11th to 13th March, and winding up back at Mallory, 29th to 30th October. Go www.thundersportgb.com for "the best sporting calendar yet!".
New R10 Supersport from Bridgestone comes in 120/70-17 front, medium - type 3, with rears in 180 and 190/55-17, medium - type 3 and hard - type 2.
