The Ducati prototype which Valentino Rossi will ride during the 2011 MotoGP season was officially unveiled during the "Wrooom" event at Madonna di Campiglio last week, complete with number 46 and hints of the Italian's trademark yellow colour scheme.
The 2011 Desmosedici GP11 includes new aerodynamics, changes to engine torque, stiffness of the chassis, and revised electronics. Broadly speaking the new bike is that seen under test at Valencia, after the end of the 2010 season.
Meanwhile, the Ducati team-mates Rossi and Nicky Hayden faced Scuderia Ferrari F1 stars Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa during an ice-race in front of an enthusiastic crowd of over 5000 people, on Madonna di Campiglio's frozen lake, when The Doctor took part, despite the risk of damage to his recovering shoulder, "because the fans deserved it". Well done Valentino!
