MotoGP 2011, kicks off on 20th March at the Losail circuit in Qatar, and 25 year old British hopeful, Cal Crutchlow, has undergone shoulder surgery, similar to that performed on Valentino Rossi recently, expecting to be fully recovered in time for the opening Official MotoGP Test, at Sepang on 1st February.
Crutchlow's injury was sustained towards the end of 2009, and not improved by a full season's racing before receiving attention.
The former world supersport champion is keeping his expectations for the 2011 season closely guarded, but expects his first year in MotoGP to be an educational experience, before "kicking on" in 2012.
