Five year BSB contract for Pirelli
Not only has Pirelli won the exclusive Formula One sole tyre supply tender for the 2011-13 seasons, but now the Italian tyre manufacturer has also secured a five year contract as Control Tyre supplier to the British Superbike and Supersport Championships.
At the same time, Pirelli has extended its relationship with the World Superbike series to 2012.
Giovanni Tolasi, Director Pirelli Moto UK, commented, "We are honoured to be associated with the British Superbike Championship for the next five years, it is a great series and the UK is a very important market for Pirelli".
There will be twelve events in the 2011 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship, starting with Brands Hatch 22-25 April.
