With just three more races to go, the 2010 MotoGP World Championship is drawing towards an end. Following last weekend's Shell Advance Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix, at Sepang, Fiat Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo needed no more than third in Malaysia, to become de facto MotoGP World Champion, 2010.
Valentino Rossi finished in first race place, holding off an intense challenge from Andrea Dovizioso, the Repsol Honda rider passing the reigning World Champion on a number of occasions, to complete the Sepang event on the second step of the podium.
Rossi's performance, recovering from 11th position during the opening lap, to take the race lead and ultimate victory, at Sepang, in incredibly demanding conditions, will have confounded speculation that injuries and perceived set-up problems, might prevent him finishing the season !
Meanwhile, on a day when champions were made; Moto2's inaugural Championship title was secured, at Sepang, by Tony Elias, with Gresini Racing. The new series is widely acclaimed for the exciting racing seen in its first season. Dunlop is sole tyre supplier to the Moto2 grid.

Next time out, this Sunday, at Phillip Island, for the Iveco Australian Grand Prix, then Portugal on 31st October, and 7th November, in Spain, for the 2010 Grand Finale !
