Last weekend saw round 14 of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship, at Motegi, in Japan, and a second win of the season, for Ducati's Casey Stoner, back-to-back with his victory last time out, at Aragon.
Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa, did not race due to a broken collarbone, sustained in a crash during Practice, as his team-mate, Andrea Dovizioso started from Pole and fought hard to wrestle the lead from Stoner, but in the end finished second, ahead of Fiat Yamaha riders, Valentino Rossi, and Jorge Lorenzo, whose race long battle was the high spot of the Japanese event, with the Reigning World Champion coming home in third, ahead of his younger rival.
Lorenzo tops the standings, with just four races remaining on the 2010 calendar, having 297 points, whilst it is not clear when second placed Dani Pedrosa, on 228, will return to the competition. Casey Stoner has 180 points, Andrea Dovizioso, 159, and Valentino Rossi, 156.
