Last weekend, MotoGP was "stateside", for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca, with another win for Championship Leader, Jorge Lorenzo, after Dani Pedrosa sacrificed a seemingly assured victory, crashing out on lap 11.
Casey Stoner came home second, followed by reigning World Champion, Valentino Rossi, who rode to third place, whilst still suffering from the injuries taken at Mugello, in June, nonetheless showing a resurgent performance which few expected so soon.
Following the United States Grand Prix, Fiat Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo has 210 points, with Repsol Honda and Dani Pedrosa on 138. Andrea Dovizioso, from the same stable, has 115 points, Ducati's Casey Stoner, 103, and "The Doctor", Fiat Yamaha, 90.
