HRH the Duke of York, formally cut the ribbon to open a major new section of track, at Silverstone on Thursday 29th April, which represents the first stage of a multi-million pound investment in the Home of British Motor Racing.
Ron and Leon Haslam provided the motorcycling representation, as two and four wheel aces tried out the new 3.66 mile circuit, in which the Northamptonshire venue has invested more than £5 million.
Silverstone is the host of the 2010 AirAsia British Motorcycle Grand Prix, in the first event of a five year agreement with Dorna Sports, the MotoGP promoter.
MotoGP, UK, 2010, runs over the weekend of 20th June.
