Dunlop makes TT history
In a first, for the Isle of Man TT during it's over 100 year history, one tyre manufacturer, Dunlop, took five out of five wins in a clean sweep across the board, and a total of ten podium finishes.
For the second year in a row, Dunlop dominated the TT, with those five wins, as their riders set lap records in the Supersport Race 2 and the Superstock class, where the 130.741mph average speed achieved, produced the first ever 130mph+ lap from a stock production machine, using road legal tyres !
Dunlop's star riders, Hutchinson and Farquhar, were racing on the manufacturer's D211GP tyres which have provided Dunlop with well over 170 podium finishes, over 25 rider championships in top-class Superstock/Supersport and hundreds of club level race wins, not to mention those Isle of Man successes.
